
International Students
St John’s Catholic College is a multicultural community and a registered CRICOS Provider (00466K), having a long history educating International Students from around the world.
Current International Students come from a range of countries, including: Indonesia, Timor Leste, China, India, Thailand, Philippines, Ghana, Nepal, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Papa New Guinea. In addition, the College has a multinational and multilingual Faculty supporting our International Students.
The College is an ‘English language instruction’ school, and supports International Students from a non-English speaking background through our Intensive English Unit.
International Students are supported by the International Coordinator who works with families regarding enrolment, travel, visas, health insurance, education, pastoral care and communication.
The College’s international program is regulated and supported by the Australian and Northern Territory Governments and is subject to the National Code and visa conditions as required of International Students in Australian Schools.
International Students are placed in either the Intensive English Unit or mainstream classes. Students undertake an initial placement assessment to determine their level of English language proficiency and assigned class.
INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Study NT Scholarships are provided by the Northern Territory Government to promote international students to study in Australia’s Northern Territory.
Scholarships will reduce the tuition for the student’s first year or semester of study, the scholarships will be valued at $5,000.
