Operations Manager

Gayan holds a Master of Professional Accounting from Charles Darwin University and a Master of Commerce with specializations in Strategic Management, Marketing, and Human Resource Management from Charles Sturt University. He further complements his academic achievements with a Graduate Diploma in Commerce from Charles Sturt University, along with diplomas in Credit Management and Financial Service Management from Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka. Gayan's pursuit of knowledge goes beyond the confines of traditional education, exemplified by his completion of Content and Social Media Marketing from RMIT University and his successful accomplishment of the Browns Collective Middle Leadership Program. Furthermore, he is presently pursuing the CompTIA A+ certification to further enhance his IT knowledge.

At St. John's Catholic College, embarking on his journey as a Project and Administration Officer in August 2021. In January 2022, Gayan assumed the role of Acting Business Manager. By October 2022, he had earned his appointment as Operations Manager. Gayan is currently overseeing School Administration, Work Health and Safety, IT, Property and Maintenance, the Health Centre, Library, and Community Engagement.
Prior to his tenure at St. John's Catholic College, Gayan garnered extensive overseas experience with over 8 years of service in the financial sector as a banker in Sri Lanka. Upon his arrival in Australia, Gayan transitioned seamlessly into the realms of Retail and Property Management, amassing 6 years of experience and further diversifying his professional portfolio.
Gayan's vision is to be a catalyst for positive change within the education sector, ensuring that St. John's Catholic College continually evolves, innovates, and provides the best possible educational experience to the students and the broader community.
